Description

The Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing a book of personal insurance clients, providing exceptional service and guidance on coverage options, renewals, policy changes, and claims support. This role involves building strong relationships with clients, identifying risk exposures, and delivering tailored insurance solutions that meet their individual needs. The Account Manager works closely with insurance carriers and internal teams to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and client satisfaction throughout the policy lifecycle. 

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to a diverse personal lines client base.
  • Manage all aspects of policy renewals, processing changes, endorsements, riders, and cancellations efficiently and accurately.
  • Handle client service requests proactively, identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities through cross selling and upselling.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's insurance products and services to effectively meet client’s needs.
  • Support the acquisition of new personal lines accounts and ensure high retention rates of renewing accounts.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of client’s exposures, loss history, and current coverage, providing proactive and tailored insurance solutions and recommendations.
  • Perform annual client reviews and meetings, presenting detailed stewardship reports, insurance schedules, and proposals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and market conditions to provide informed recommendations to clients.
  • Maintain organized and accurate client records, documentation, and communication through the Agency Management System.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills relevant to the role.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to uphold operational standards and maintain ethical business practices.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, risk management, or other related fields is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on personal lines account management.
  • Hold current and valid Property and Casualty insurance license.
  • Hold at least one professional designation, such as CIC, CPCU, CRM or other relevant programs or the ability and willingness to attain designation within 18 months.
  • In-depth understanding of personal insurance products, coverages, and policies.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to conduct risk assessments, analyze coverage needs, and propose suitable solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously, ensuring accurate and timely policy processing and documentation.
  • Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and underwriters to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite. Prior experience with AMS 360 and Image Right preferred.
  • Proficiency in orchestrating and hosting virtual meetings using platforms like Teams and Zoom, encompassing the capability to share screens and deliver presentations (e.g., PowerPoint, Proposals, etc.).
Salary Description
$70,000 to $75,000
