POSITION SUMMARY: 


The Strategic Sales Account Manager (South East) responsibilities include developing strong relationships with customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders, and preparing sales reports. Sales Representatives also answer client queries and identify new business opportunities with existing customers and new customers. In this role, you will liaise with cross-functional internal teams to improve the entire customer experience. This position is a customer-facing role and will require frequent travel.


As a Strategic Sales Account Manager, you should work to satisfy customers’ needs and requests, respond to their queries in a timely manner, and aspire to deliver a positive customer experience. You should have excellent communication and negotiation skills and be customer service oriented. Ultimately, demonstrate the ability to grow our business by building successful, long-term client relationships.


  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


Account Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.


New Business Development:
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the territory by targeting manufacturers, co-packers, and distributors requiring metal can solutions.


Territory Management:
Strategically cover the South East region, which may include GA, FL, SC, NC, AL, and surrounding areas. Plan and execute regular client visits and industry event participation.


Technical Consultation:
Understand customer packaging needs and provide recommendations on product types, sizes, and specifications based on manufacturing capabilities.


Sales Reporting:
Track and report key sales metrics, forecasts, and market intelligence using CRM tools and internal reporting systems.


Pricing & Quoting:
Collaborate with internal teams to provide accurate quotes and negotiate pricing to close deals while maintaining profit margins.


Market Intelligence:
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform product and service improvements.


Requirements

  

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field strongly preferred.

Prior experience as a Sales Representative or similar role required.

Prior hands-on experience in sales with the proven ability to deliver excellent customer service experience.

Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.

Current and valid driver’s license required.


GENERAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Must have the ability to travel up to 50% of the time within the region.

Good level of assertiveness to challenge and support the team.

Strong organizational skills and proven ability to maintain accurate, detailed records that will be audited periodically; Ability to work on multiple projects at once with tight deadlines.

Must be a self-starter and have the desire and ability to take ownership and responsibility with little direction.

Exceptional customer service skills in handling issues in both the interest of the customer and Envases Ohio

Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs.

Understanding of sales performance metrics

Proven ability to work with multiple account projects at the same time while maintaining sharp attention to detail.

Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities

Strong verbal and written skills

Ability to be pragmatic in decision making; requires high integrity.

Ability to work with employees, customers and vendors from many different cultures and backgrounds.

Proven ability to work collaboratively with others, friendly and personable.
